Where in the world is Matt???
In the previous activity everyone was asking "Where in the world is Matt?" From India to New York, from Berlin to Madagascar Matt was everywhere. Those insane videos were shown in class to show us how not all places are the same. Educationally, we learned that people all around the world have types of customs and culture. The most interesting part of the first video was when Matt did the Indian dance with the other Indian men and women. That was really cool. Also, he danced in the the ocean in Bolivia that looked like he was dancing in heaven. It looked really awesome and interesting. Our opinion of the video was very halarious, but also showed us how different people interact with their culture and environment.

A Visit from Ms. Crum....
Hey guys!!! On this blog entry we are talking are visit from Ms. Crum that took place last wenesday. Ms. Crum gave us what some people would call a "college lecture" on Alice Paul. We learned a lot of stuff we didn't know about Alice Paul for example how she went on in her life and earned many degrees. She was an inspiration to numerous people. Why you ask? Alice Paul was known for standing up for women suffragists. She stood for her beliefs and was arrested for speaking her mind. Thats a true woman, and humanitarian. Just by Alice Paul standing up for something at all, shows us what we can and should do through-out our lives. We want to influence everyone to know that Alice Paul was not an ordinary woman, but still she was a hero. To this day we Ashley, Ayanna and Javon wish we could meet Alice Paul. We think that just being in the presence of her atmosphere is a privilage. To be next to a person who did so much for women everywhere is a true honor. Ms. Crum also had a special suprise for us. She took us on a walk to the Sewall-Belmont house. She told us various things that went on with that building. Unfortunately, we were not able to go in because of constructual issues, but again it was an exciting moment for everyone. We even took some pics and recieved cool stickers. Being with Ms. Crum was a true experience of something that helped build our knowledge to a more extensive view.

Blogging about Justice Day O' Connor
Justice Sandra Day O' Connor is a retired member of the Supreme Court. She was the first women EVER to become a member of the Supreme Court. She was born in a remote area in Arizona, but went to school in El Paso, Texas. While in Texas, Justice O' Connor lived with her grandparents. While she spent her youth on "the back of horses", she spent most of her time studying and attending school. She said herself " I was just a cowgirl". As a judge she decided to take up speed reading. She also stated " I had to read thousands of pages everyday!". We could never imagine reading that much in one day.
Our experience was stupendous!!! She answered most of our questions and gave us some great laughs. It was a privilege for her to be in our presence. It was an unimaginable feeling when she stepped through the door. More like a good aura and an incredible feeling for everyone in the room. She is a very nice lady and lovely to have visit. We learned a great lesson form Justice O' Connor today, and that was to keep your head high and never back down from your responsibilities.

Blackfoot Native Americans
In the Great Plains have limited water supplies because there land was not along any coasts. Buffalo in this area had many uses like food.
Javon's Inuit Tribe!!!!!!!!

My Native American slide!!! Geography affected my tribe because the climate was too cold to grow any crops and they had to wear animal skin.

Javon
Hey!!!! My name is Javon and I'm a pretty fun and wild guy. My life can be the best at times and the worse at times. I crave to eat, sleep, play putt-putt and sometimes real golf. My role model in life is Jason Derulo because he got in the music world/business by using his voice. I hope to achieve that one day. The highlight my life so far is when I was in a play called 'The Pink Siamese" here at Stuart. We had tons of fun!!! With all the backstage fun, the after party and all the pizza you would never want to leave! I hope to be successful in the entertainment business in the future. I want all my readers to know that "The Lone Writers" is a really intelligent group. With Ashley's craziness, Ayanna's soul infused writing and my funny bones, you would never want to stop reading our blog.
Ashley
Hello my name is Ashley. I love to draw, sing and dance. I am funny, a little shy when I'm around people I don't know, and hyper when I want to be. My role model is my mom because she is gives great advice, is a great mom and is just a good person. I hope to get into School Without Walls and go to a great college. I hope to have a great life and have a very nice and loving family. The highlight of my life so far is, well I'm not very sure because there are so many amazing things that I have experienced. If I really had to pick, I would say the highlight of my life is singing and acting in front of my school for the last two years. I really enjoy doing that. I believe that this year with Ayanna, and Javon, our blog will be successful and we will learn a lot about history during our eigth grade school year. I hope we have a fun time and build our friendship. I hope you will enjoy reading our blog and learn more about history as we share our great findings throughout the year.
