Tuskegee Airman Visit
Last week our class got a visit form Lt. Broadwater a Tuskegee Airman. He talked to us about the struggles and rewards of being black in the air-force. We learned multiply lessons from him. Lt. Broadwater thought us that when someone tells you that you cant do something do your very best to prove them wrong. Lt. Broadwater was a prime example that determination, dedication, and hard work really does pay off. He showed us that if you put your mind to something you can do it. Another lesson Lt.Broadwater thought us is you should set an example and be a role model for other generations to come. You cant sit idly by and let injustice run rapid. Lt. Broadwater is a role model and an American hero.
We the People Mock Hearings!
My group consisted of Ashley, Javon, Terrina, and Anna. We were responsible for answering and defending the question does the constitution protect our basic rights? As soon as my group got our topic we went right to work writing, and doing back ground research on our topic. When it was time for the trial Mr. Justin came in to Ms.Trenkle's room to be a judge. Terrina, Anna, Javon, Ashley, and i were the first group to present. Mr.Justin said we were brave for presenting first and gave us some positive and negative feed back. Even though we did not make it to the next round at Georgetown Law we really learned a lot.
